The reputation of our industry is critical to its continuing strength, and we pride ourselves in ensuring best practice in every area of our business; from caring for our staff to campaigning for positive changes to the welfare of sheep, to having absolute trust in the safety of the finished product.
Animal Welfare
G. Modiano Ltd. fully supports the principles outlined by the IWTO Guidelines for Wool Sheep Welfare and the Dumfries House Declaration.
We believe that all sheep are entitled to a life free of pain, hunger and fear.
Using our best endeavours to source wool that has been produced ethically, we are actively involved in encouraging wool growers not only to increase the supply of such wool but to ensure that the wool they do produce is fully traceable.
We are playing a key role within the industry to advise growers of the changing attitudes of consumers towards animal welfare and we are committed to ensuring that animal rights are respected and upheld.

G. Modiano Ltd donates a proportion of its profits to charitable causes each year and operates a Give As You Earn scheme, matching employee donations.

Modiano takes a responsible and sustainable approach in relation to our tax obligations and is committed to paying the right amount of tax in all jurisdictions and maintaining an open relationship with tax authorities in the territories in which it operates.
